Responsibilities:
Liasion between the Business Units, IT and the SharePoint development team

Understanding requirements of a complex IT organization with the goal of automating processes, managing their content and designing structured forms

Understanding the requirements of the financial services community and translating them into SharePoint related workflows and processes

Communicating the various benefits derived from an advanced SharePoint implementation - such as the use of PowerPivot, Excel Services and Performance Point functionality. Proposing similar functionality to the business as and when appropriate

Skill Set:
Strong knowledge of the following aspects of SharePoint:
Document Management/ Content Management

Metadata/ Content Types

Workflow and Form Development tools (3rd party tools such as Nintex preferred)

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong experience in understanding and helping to automate business processes, translating requirements from a financial user base and preparing specifications for the development teams

Prior experience with TFS

Past experience with SharePoint development desired

Understanding and communicating web part development and external data access methods

Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.

Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities.

Analyzes business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.

Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.

Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications.

Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business.

Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.

Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge.

May make recommendations for buy versus build decision.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 5 to 7 years of relevant technical or business work experience.

Worker must be local as they are required to be onsite. Opportunity for contract extension beyond 12 months. Dress is business casual.
