Project Description:
This project will support Pakistani-led efforts to introduce and institutionalize improvements in reading instruction and reading assessment in grades one through five in public and private schools throughout Pakistan.

Position Start Date:

Position Summary:
Maintain and monitor Reception Area, Control and Answering INCOMMING telephone calls, and assist with general office maintenance and operation.

Reporting & Supervision:
The receptionist position reports directly to the Head of Office.

Primary Responsibilities:
Answer telephone, screen and direct calls.

Take and relay messages.

Provide information to callers.

Greet persons entering project and answer their questions.

Direct persons to correct destination.

Deal with queries from the public and customers.

Ensures knowledge of staff movements in and out of project

Prepare letters and documents for the project.

Receive and sort mail and deliveries.

Organize meetings

Tidy and maintain the reception area

Update the project contacts list.

Assist HR, operations, and logistics with basic administrative tasks.

Arrange for hotel and ticket reservations

Support & provides all departments with their needs to coordinate meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences, and in-service training sessions or related activities

Assist on arranging transportation for employees or visitors, and prepare for transportations payments

Assist in arranging for hotels and facilitate sessions, workshops, or related activities

Other functions could be related to the position, according to the work needs.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Prior receptionist and/or administrative experience

Strong communication skills

Verbal fluency in Urdu required;

Strong analytical capacity.
