As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft for Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. On behalf of the German Ministry of Development Cooperation (BMZ), GIZ implements the biodiversity project up to 2015. Job Title Procurement and Logistic Officer (Reference NO. BKP 2013/017)
Qualifications and Experience:
BA in Business administration or recognized commercial diploma in business administration
At least 3 years work experience in a comparable position
Advanced computing skills including MS-office applications
Knowledge of Urdu, Pashto and English language skills is essential
Knowledge of GIZ O&R and relationships between climate change and biodiversity are an advantage.
Job Description:
The procurement and logistic officer is responsible for
Providing efficient support and ensure success of the overall procurement & logistics activities, while providing efficient utilization of resources in accordance with GIZ contractual procedures
Acting as focal point for requisitions receive for the procurement of goods and logistics services for the projects filed offices by preparing procurement documents as per O&R guidelines
Providing efficient support for all project activities on the ground like organization of field trips, workshops, meetings
