Job Description:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Extensive experience in hand-coding HTML5; • Strong understanding of CSS3 and desire to work with Sass/Compass; • Advanced knowledge of responsive design and responsive frameworks; • Demonstrated knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks/libraries; • Demonstrated knowledge of distributed version control (Git); • Fluent in such design tools as Omnigraffle, Photoshop, Illustrator; • Strong understanding of web design best practices; • Stay up to date on the latest web design and UI/UX trends; • Knowledge of accessibility standards; ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities and meet deadlines; • Ability to work well under pressure and within cross-functional teams that may include writers, editors, designers, photographers. • Working knowledge of web application design using HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript • Software application design experience a real plus Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, flash, etc. • Operates effectively as a member of the designer’s team. • Also operates effectively as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes. • Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and in high quality. • Responsible for the design of websites, graphics, multimedia, GUIs. • Effectively develops in a clean, well structured, easily maintainable format. • Utilizes storyboarding and graphic pre-designs where appropriate. • Demonstrates creative, technical and analytical skills. REQUIRED SKILLS • Experience in designing websites. Minimum of 2 years of UI design experience is required. • Practical experience in graphics creation with Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible and team-oriented environment. • BMA / BA university degree is essential besides any relevant courses a plus.
