PURPOSE STATEMENT 

Support the Business Development Manager in developing and implementing the trade marketing & distribution strategy for the end-market in line with the marketing strategy
Lead the development of trade programmes for customer segments in the end-market ensuring that trade programmes meet business objectives and customer segment requirements.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 
Refine the route to market strategy :

  • Help Business Development Manager in Developing & Implementing Distribution Strategy 
  • Recommend approach (e.g. delivery frequency, call frequency) Distribution structure / model, resources and budget requirements 
  • Propose changes based on market review 
  • Develop, refine and implement Brand & Trade coverage plan, sales & distribution plan for execution of trade programmes / activities
  • Ensure that objectives in terms of availability, visibility, volume and quality of products are achieved for the customer segments 
  • Support Regional Managers in developing trade programmes 
  • Assist them in the adjustment of developed programmes to the regions’ reality 
  • Manage budget for trade programmes & activities development in the end-market 
  • Propose refined goals and KPIs for trade programmes development and track on-going results 
  • Help Trade area works in accordance to BAT’s International Marketing Standards and all Corporate guidelines 
  • Help Business Development Manager to manage TM&D budget , including trade specific programmes (excluding generic and specific trade research) 
  • Use innovative ideas for enhancing trade programmes and develop innovative approaches for customer segments

Essential requirements
Experience


Ideally, not less than 4 years' experience in FMCG category
Education

Relevant Maseters Degree

Functional Knowledge & Skills

  • Trade marketing development 
  • Experience in Wholesale, Distributor and DSS Management 
  • Understanding of supply chain and financial components
