Channel Development & Merchandising Jobs in British American Tobacco

Job Purpose:
- Develop and drive Customer Engagement   strategies aligned with portfolio & brand strategy & ensure execution in Trade Planning Groups to achieve business growth.

Key Deliverables:

- To have a successful conception of Business Development Programs/Plan   by properly engaging our creative agency, and also to ensure the methodical execution of these programs through Channel Team & Trade Team.
- To   implement a robust Entertainment Channel strategy entailing Premium, Medium & Low HoReCa universe, for effective utilization of this important   channel .
- To ensure product availability, visibility and effective implementation of cycle activities at Key Accounts & Entertainment outlets.
- Develop customised trading terms, distribution and promotion agreements with key trade members, which will help to maximise availability, volume and share growth opportunities.
- To rationalize our exiting wide spread investment in Channel, by identifying the must retain accounts and focus our investment to these accounts only, in order to yield Retailer/ advocacy by establishing these accounts as a perfect communication platform with our consumers.
- Ensure robust & disciplined budget designs with defined responsibilities & strong monitoring & control.
-  Facilitate the implementation of Customer Management strategy in coordination between the Brand & Regional Teams in order to ensure integration.
- Ensure high level of Motivation in the channel marketing team and facilitate Channel Team on their Personal Development in order to enhance their performance.
- Ensure smooth execution of merchandising strategy & plan
- Ensure cost effectiveness through supplier development & management.

Essential requirements

- Business graduate with a minimum of 4 years marketing experience in FMCG and at least 2 years experience in managing organised channels / accounts.
- Must understand the unique dynamics of the Channel.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient at financial analysis.
