Advanced degree (MA/MSc) in Agriculture, Horticultural Science, Animal/Zootechnical Science, Veterinary Medicine or the related field.
5 Years Work experience with UN and/or International organizations will be considered an asset.
Technical Competence and Skills required:
Strong command over spoken and written English as well as Sindhi.
Skills in Office Applications Including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point.
Capability for planning, organizing and administering, on-the-job independent staff training, sessions.

Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative in Pakistan, direct supervision and guidance of Sukkur based Senior Project Coordinator and under the guidance and technical supervision of the Islamabad based Training Officer, Sr. Resilience Coordinator and Programme Implementation Coordinator (DPRU), the Training Associate will be responsible to perform the following tasks:
Conduct training needs assessment of farmers and counterparts for the consolidation of a needs based / demand driven training programme;
Prepare guidelines for the selection of beneficiaries for training and prepare the follow up plan for monitoring and replication of these trainings at respective village (Ghot) level;
Provide technical assistance to FAO’s implementing partners in the delivery of capacity building trainings in Agriculture, Livestock, poultry and water management;
Assist in preparation of extension / education materials/broachers/leaflets, training manuals for farmers (men and women) and endorsement of developed material from respective line department;
Assist FAO DPRU Program staff in the implementation of Integrated Capacity Building plan of the project;
Supervise the implementation of various “model schemes” vis a vis kitchen gardening, seed production, poultry and livestock) at community level;
Development of curriculum for female farmer field schools on kitchen gardens around different model schemes gardening and poultry;
Assess the impact and relevance of project trainings and participate in survey studies to capture beneficiaries’ feedback on the usefulness of the training programme;
Draft training reports and maintain sex-disaggregated segregated data of imparted trainings;
